Bathroom Centre Stirling are a proud Carron Bath Stockist. In fact, Carron Baths are the only baths we stock and display in our showroom. There are many reasons for this and we’ll explain this in more detail a bit later. One of our directors has been in the plumbing industry for 30+ years and he sums up why Carron is the go to supplier:

Last year myself and a colleague went on a tour of the Carron factory. This was so much more interesting than I thought it would be. First of all, I had no idea what was involved in making a bath and secondly, I was amazed at the various stages involved in the process. I had no idea that each bath design had it’s own mould. I suppose it’s pretty obvious if you think about it, but truthfully I never had. Also watching a bath go through the Carronite process was very cool. We followed the process from beginning to end including quality control, where we learned that female staff (generally speaking) had the best eye for detail.

• Carronite
So what actually is the Carronite process? This is explained fully on the Carron website but essentially there are three main components:
- the finish – they are reinforced
- baseboard which is customised to each bath model
- the frame that holds the bath allows for greater stability
The benefits of a Carronite bath are the strength, ability to retain heat (so the water stays warmer for longer) and a 30 year guarantee.
